ROUND TABLE LINENS

For 48" Round Tables

About me...
The day after Thanksgiving, I saw an Ad in the local newspaper that a Store was having a Special Sale on Sewing Machines. I went there on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and watched the Salesperson giving a presentation...I said to myself...I can do that! I bought one and brought it home and it sat in my truck for 4 days. I finally moved it to the Foyer for another 2 weeks. I was busy in my Workshop finishing up Christmas projects & orders to ship by Dec 17th. I, then, mustered enough courage to un-boxed my sewing machine and I looked at it for 2 more days. I finally got up the nerve to go to the Fabric Store after I sewed all my wifes dust clotHes into tiny squares and zigged and zagged 'til there wasn't any fabric left to see. It's a lot of fun 'wading' through all those ladies, running shopping carts into my ankles & up my back, to ask for some fabric. I had a lady wait on me that was very nice and was quite amused when I told her that I had just bought a sewing machine and needed to know how much fabric to buy for a Table Cloth, Place Mats & a Table Runner. She got me what I needed to get started. As I was standing in line to pay for my arm load of Fabric and 'stuff' (pins, pin cushions, needles, scissors, rotary cutters, cutting boards, trim, thread, etc.) feeling all those 'eye-linered' eyes looking at me. It reminded me of the time I went to Victoria's Secret and bought my wife a Bra and Thong. There was another gentleman in the check-out line at the fabric store and our eyes met as we scanned the crowd. He immediately volunteered, while blushing, "this stuff's for my wife", I retorted, "heah, mine, too...when I get out of here, I'm headed for Victoria's Secret to regain my composure". There's no reason to embarrass yourself 2 days in a row! Well, anyway, she's using the table cloth and the thongs are still in her dresser drawer...maybe I'll make them into tie-backs for Chair cushions & see if she remembers them!

Price ~ $50.00
S&H&I ~ $9.00

Williamsburg Blue Table Cloth with Burgundy Flower Design. I changed the Skirt on this one a little with some Ivory Ruffles! Needs Pressing, but I'll do that later... Most Table Cloths that are sold commercially have a 10" drop. I like it a little shorter, around 7" to 8". This way you don't sit down on the table cloth or drag it off the table when you get up.

PLACE MATS

Price ~ $30.00/Set of 4
S&H&I ~ $9.00
S&H&I ~ $4.50 with Table Cloth

* Add to your Fabric Cost for a Total Cost.
ADD $9 S&H&I to all orders. 2nd, plus items, ADD $5 shipped to same address.

Here's an Example !
Let's say you have a 48" Round Table
... and you select a Fabric that Costs $4 yd and Trim for Border that Costs $3 yd.

Look up Fabric Amt from Chart (above) and it says you need 4 yds @ $4 yd = $16.00. You select Trim that's $3 yd and you need 6 yds = $18.00. Include 2 Large Spools of Thread. 1 to match Fabric & 1 to match Trim, approx.$2 each.
Adding the 3 items, you have $38.00 in Material, plus Labor Cost of $30 = $68.00.
With S&H&I you have a Grand Total of $77.00.
Should you want a Bias Trim (same Fabric or Contrast) Add 1 yd. of Fabric and Substitute that for the Trim Fabric, 60" + sizes, Add 1.5 yds. Add $10 to cost for Labor to make the Bias.
Should you select a Fabric with a repeat pattern thats greater than 3", ask the Sales Person to include the extra yardage if you want to match the pattern on the seams.
